Costumes are important as it tells the audience so much about a character just by looking at them. Therefore a lot of thought was put into the costume aspect of the opening sequence. The audience will make judgements on the character by looking at their boy language and costume; this is partly why we decided to use a non-diagectic voice over, rather than diagectic dialogue. Arthur will be wearing a dressing gown in the sequences suggesting he doesn't get out much, and that he is a lazy low life. The Side Man will be wearing a hood and sun glasses so his emotions and expressions remain unknown. This will create a cliff hanger as he his only seen at the of the sequence.
